PET INSURANCE

What is Pet Insurance?

Pet insurance helps you cover the rising costs of veterinary care, so you won’t have to choose between your pet’s health and your personal finances. With a pet insurance plan, you can rest easy knowing that your dogs or cats will receive the care they need when they need it. You can choose from plans that cover injury, illness, and even routine preventive care, like annual check-ups, vaccinations, and dental cleanings.

How It Works

1. Get Treatment
If your pet suffers an injury or illness, or if your plan covers wellness care, go to ANY licensed veterinarian in the U.S. or Canada and pay for the services.

2. File a Claim
Submit a claim form along with any receipts.

3. Get Reimbursed
Within about 15 business days, you will be reimbursed for a percentage of covered allowable veterinary charges, after your annual deductible is met.

Note: Your pet is covered for injuries as soon as your plan goes into effect, after your application is approved and payment is received. Under most plans, after a month or so, your pet is covered for illness as well. You can also get coverage for routine preventive care.

How to Enroll

1. Apply Online or Call
You may visit either of our participating insurance plan partners' websites to apply online. You may request toll-free numbers from Nashville Cat Clinic, or find them on the web.

2. Underwriting
All pet insurance plans are subject to underwriting, which takes a couple of weeks or less. You may be able to help this process by asking the Nashville Cat Clinic to fax your pet’s records to your choice of carriers. Plans can only be issued after receipt of payment.

3. Acceptance
Once the underwriting process is complete, you will receive the pet insurance certificate for the plan you requested.
